Animaly Bar

Animaly Bar Update History, Patch Notes and Release Date

There is no numbered Animaly Bar update or patch notes yet. The newest official post is the developer's thank-you note from 2026-09-14, the day after the launch post. We read the Steam news feed again on 2026-09-22 and found nothing newer. The launch day is listed two ways: the store data on Steam says Sep 13, 2026, and the announcements said September 14.

Release date: Sep 13 or September 14?

Two official sources disagree.

We have no statement that explains the difference, so we list both and do not pick one.

What the release day timestamps show

The two dates are not the only clue. The Opens in 3 Days post set the release for Monday, September 14, at 15:00 CEST, which is 13:00 UTC. The launch post, Your Shift Begins!, was published on September 13 at 19:07 UTC, about 18 hours before that time. Steam's store data also gives Sep 13. We found no comment from the developer on the change, so we report the timestamps and leave it there.

Launch came with a 20% discount for one week, from $4.99 to $3.99, and the store still showed $3.99 on 2026-09-20. The countdown post also mentioned bundles with games from other developers, with an extra discount if you already own one of them.

Every official Animaly Bar update, newest first

Dates are UTC, and each title opens the post on Steam. The summaries are ours. Before launch, every Animaly Bar update was described in a numbered devlog, so the devlogs are the closest thing to patch notes. Devlog #4 is the only one with its own list of fixes.

  1. Animaly Bar: NO HUMANITY! | A Thank You from the Developer

The developer thanks players and answers the main criticism, the length: the store page has said about 1.5 to 2 hours from the start, and the price was kept low for that reason. They built the game alone in about seven months; it is their first paid game, after a free horror game called False Haven. They would like to turn the Animaly universe into a series.

  2. Your Shift Begins! | Animaly Bar: NO HUMANITY!

Launch post. The full release has more content, new mechanics and different customers than the demo. Bugs can be reported in the Steam discussions or on the developer's Discord, and the developer says they will keep working on the game.

  3. Says September 14

Animaly Bar Opens in 3 Days!

Gives the release date as Monday, September 14, at 15:00 CEST (09:00 EDT), with a 20% launch discount for one week and bundles with games from other developers.

  4. Says September 14

Animaly Bar: NO HUMANITY! - Release Date

Announces September 14 as the release date and says the full game has 3 different endings, new customers, new criteria and more dangerous Looters. The developer was fixing the last few bugs.

  5. DEVLOG #6 - THE FINAL STEPS!

The full version is content complete: more than 15 new customers, stronger Looters, a boss encounter, new criteria for checking customers and more than 10 new horror elements. September is named as a realistic goal, without an exact date.

  6. 6 Days Left Until Steam Next Fest + Devlog #5

The demo is announced for Steam Next Fest, starting six days later, after a round of bug fixes based on player feedback.

  7. Devlog #4 - New Settings, Fixes and Improvements

Demo update: an FPS limiter, a camera shake toggle, new sound effects, smoother interactions, and fixes for audio and subtitle bugs.

  8. DEMO OUT NOW! | Animaly Bar: NO HUMANITY!

The demo is released: run the bar as a gorilla bartender, serve drinks, and find the humans hiding in animal costumes. The developer warns it may still have bugs and optimization issues.

  9. Demo Coming Soon + Devlog #3

Four new horror scenes, reworked older ones, a more stable lighting system, new UI designs and optimization the developer puts at about 30 FPS on average, ahead of the demo.

  10. Devlog #2 - New Customers, Horror Scenes and New Features

Six new customers (Bull, Pug, Owl, Giraffe, Tiger and Horse), eight new horror scenes, a daily quest, new sounds for the gorilla and cotton details inside the human costumes.

  11. WELCOME TO ANIMALY BAR: NO HUMANITY! - Devlog #1

The official reveal: you tend bar as a gorilla and weed out the humans trying to sneak in among the animals. It also lists smoother drink pouring, customers who now sit on different stools, and a rebuilt lighting system.

How often the developer posts an Animaly Bar update

Eleven official posts went up between the reveal on April 16 and the thank-you note on September 14. They come in two bursts: five between the reveal and the demo patch on May 19, and five in the four weeks before and after launch.

Timeline from April to September 2026 with one dot per official post, clustered in April and May and again in August and September, and a gap of 68 days between June 9 and August 16
Official Steam posts by date. Drawn by this site from the Steam news feed, read on 2026-09-22.

The longest silence was the 68 days between the Next Fest post on June 9 and Devlog #6 on August 16, while the full game was being built. By that measure, eight days without an Animaly Bar update after launch is not a long gap. The developer also answers in the Steam discussions between posts: the black bars and endless mode replies came on September 16 and 18, after the last official post.

What the next Animaly Bar update may bring

Promised: a setting for the black bars

On September 16 a player asked why black bars appear during play. The developer answered, in Turkish, that it is a cinematic crop that everyone has, and that an option to remove the crop would be added to the settings in an Animaly Bar update the following week. As of 2026-09-22 no official post mentions it.

Asked for, not promised: endless mode and more

The developer said they would really like to add an endless mode, but explained the problem: customers you kill should not come back, so it would need an endless supply of new ones. A player has asked about controller support, a French Canadian player offered to help improve the French text, and back in the demo one player asked for Escape to close the computer and recipe book and for a zoom feature. None of these has a date or a place in an announced Animaly Bar update. The details are on the known issues page.

Longer term: more Animaly games

The thank-you note says the developer would love to turn the Animaly universe into a series, with different animals, locations and stories. That is a wish, not an announced game.
